Simultaneously, it aims to reduce operations costs along the ore supply chain and optimise processing expenses, creating a more profitable, cost-effective and efficient mining operation.
Achieving objectives through strategic focus
The objectives are achieved through a strategic focus that aims to achieve the desired results through a selective ore mining method based on a bottom-up mine design, appropriate sizing of ore mining equipment, optimising bench designs for optimal equipment performance, and adjusting drill and blast design to suit those above.
Concurrently with ore grade extraction, we optimise ore supply chain operations from pit to port. This is achieved through a comprehensive approach to planning, coordinating, and monitoring all the activities and processes through an effective grade control program. Such a program covers all areas from the extraction of ore from the mine (pit), ore supply, processing, transportation, and ore handling operations at the port.
The goal is to maximise efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure a steady supply of high-quality on spec ore to meet market demand. It requires the integration of advanced technologies, data analytics, and best practices in supply chain management.
Adobting best practices during execution
Based on tried and tested experience gained on several mines, Tacmin Construction adopts best practices for mining companies that want to implement the geological structure mining method. The primary focus areas are:
- Convert geological block models to mining models using software tools and techniques.
- Compile and integrate structural models using geological data and analysis.
- Execute mine designs, and direct planning and scheduling based on the structural and mining models.
- Track and reconcile the grade and structural models using blast hole grade control and other methods.
- Introduce, compile, and monitor SOPs for grade control from pit to port.
